Three letters minimum. Diacritics do not matter, latvenergo finds Latvenergo. A registration number works as well. If several companies match the text, you get the list first and pick one.
Two things about tax that this page deliberately leaves out. Tax debt in euro is not in the open data at all. It sits behind a captcha on the tax office site, and hitting that once for every visitor would be abuse of a service that never offered itself for this. Taxes paid do exist as an open dataset, but only 6 250 rows of 428 358 were ever loaded into it, so for almost every company it would draw an empty table that reads like a zero. An empty table is not a zero, so this page draws neither.
What is here is the whole of the register side: identity, address, status, share capital, the board, the shareholders, the beneficial owners and every annual report the company has filed.
One HTML file and one small worker in front of a public API. No database, no backend, no accounts, no cookies. You type a name, the worker asks Latvia's open data service, and the page draws what comes back. It was built with an AI assistant with a human at the wheel, and most of the work went not into code but into the parts that are not code: deciding what an empty cell means, and making sure a number that is missing never looks like a zero.
Source. data.gov.lv, the datasets of the Register of Enterprises. Open licence, no key, free for anyone, including you. This page holds no data of its own, keeps nothing about you, and remembers one thing only, whether you picked the light or the dark theme, in your own browser.
Names, addresses and job titles stay in Latvian exactly as the register writes them. They are data, not interface, and translating them would quietly change the record. Where a job title has a plain English equivalent, it is added next to it, in smaller type.
